It has been ten years since the release of Killer Instinct on the Xbox One, and today, you can play Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition on Xbox Game Pass.
The base game has moved to free-to-play and is available on Steam and the Microsoft Store. Those who purchased Definitive Edition get a free upgrade to the Anniversary Edition, which offers 4K resolution & 60 FPS on Xbox Series X, improved matchmaking, balance updates, all 29 Fighters, and all premium content ever released.
They have removed mature-rated content from its Anniversary Edition (although it will still be available to download if you already have the Definitive Edition, even once this game version has been retired).
