Transferring Your Save File to The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered: A Step-by-Step Guide

The Last of Us

So you have bought The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered and want to carry over your save file from The Last of Us Part 2 on PS4. I have some excellent news for you because you can, and it's relatively easy.

Not only can only pay $10 to upgrade to The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. If you have a digital or physical copy of the game, you can pick up where you left off the last time you played the game.

Follow these simple steps, and you will pop all the previous trophies you earned. You can start either from where you were or a new game, plus save using your old file.

TRANSFERRING PS4 SAVE DATA:

The Last of Us Part II Remastered supports transferring your saved data from the PS4 version.

You may do so over a USB drive, or if you're a PlayStation Plus member, you can download saved data from cloud storage.

For Cloud:

1. Login to the PSN ID on a PS4.

2. Locate the save data for The Last of Us Part II under Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage.

3. Select Upload to Online Storage > The Last of Us Part II > Select All > Upload.

4. Login to the same PSN ID on a PS5.

5. Go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS4) > Cloud Storage.

6. Under the Download to Console Storage tab, select The Last of Us Part II > Download.

On the game:

1. Launch the Game App for The Last of Us Part II Remastered on the PS5 kit.

2. Select Story on the Main Menu.

3. Select Import Game.

4. Select the desired save data, then load game.

5. The title should continue where you left off. If Trophies were unlocked on the PS4 save, the respective PS5 Trophies should unlock retroactively after the import.

You will need your previously saved file to be in the cloud or be able to retrieve it from your PS4.
